Professional and Volunteer Work
Level 2 Animal Care Technical Certificate- I completed this qualification in my first year at college, I passed this course with a merit grade. I learnt many things, working to industry standard being one, meaning I can work quickly and to high standards. I also had the opportunity to work with many different types of animal, including small mammals, exotics, birds and nocturnal species.
Work Experience- Upon completing the first year of my level 3 course at college I completed a mandatory work experience placement at Thetford Grooming Parlour. I completed over 150 hours of work experience and learnt how to properly bath a dog, how to use drying equipment, began to learn how to use clippers, as well as safe restraint techniques with dogs.
